Kinesiologist

Job Summary

Belmont Physiotherapy and Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Kinesiologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human movement and rehabilitation techniques, providing exceptional patient care and support. The Kinesiologist will work closely with patients to develop personalized exercise programs, monitor progress, and facilitate recovery from injuries or medical conditions. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop tailored rehabilitation programs. Design and implement exercise regimens that promote mobility, strength, and overall wellness. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) documenting patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes. Provide education to patients regarding their conditions, treatment options, and the importance of adherence to prescribed exercises. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients during therapy sessions. Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with colleagues and in documentation. Manage administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and office organization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families. Proficiency in using Jane systems for documentation purposes. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient files and treatment plans. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy and rehabilitation practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times. Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
