What You'll Do
Develop and implement customized exercise therapy programs to support injury recovery, rehabilitation, and functional movement.
Conduct functional assessments and collaborate with Occupational Therapists to support client rehabilitation and return-to-work goals.
Participate in WorkSafeBC Return to Work Support Services (RTWSS) programs -- experience in this area is preferred.
Assisting with therapeutic exercises and activities.
Preparing and maintaining therapy equipment and treatment spaces.
Documenting client progress as directed.
Supporting administrative tasks related to client care (e.g., scheduling, session preparation).
Educate clients on injury prevention, movement strategies, and self-management techniques.
Deliver community-based rehabilitation in home, workplace, and clinic environments.
Who You Are
Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology (or equivalent).
Registered with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).
Experience with WorkSafeBC RTWSS programs and/or Rehabilitation Assistant work is an asset.
Valid CPR & First Aid certification (required).
Must reside in Nanaimo or the surrounding area.
Reliable vehicle & ability to travel within Nanaimo and nearby communities.
Business Licensing - Contract position: requires a Nanaimo and Intercommunity Business License (or willingness to obtain).
Personal Liability Insurance (required).
