Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kinesiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation and a passion for helping patients recover from concussions and car accident related injuries. The Kinesiologist will work closely with Physiotherapists who provide both vestibular and MSK treatments and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal recovery and physical function.
Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology (BKin)
-Registered in Good Standing with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK)
-Valid CPR C & Standard First Aid
-Criminal Records Check (will be required for full registration for BCAK)
- At least 1 year experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on concussion management and motor vehicle accident rehabilitation.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities, limitations, and needs related to concussions and MVAs
-Working with Insurance companies (ICBC, Long-term Disability, Extended Health) and Worksafe BC
- Develop and implement personalized exercise programs and rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient's specific condition and goals.
- Educate patients about injury management, rehabilitation techniques, and strategies for prevention.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and physicians, to provide comprehensive care.
- Document patient progress and treatment interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in kinesiology, concussion management, and MVA rehabilitation..
