The Role:

Echelon Wellness is seeking a Kinesiologist to join our new clinic in Ottawa. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping clients move better, build strength, and prevent injury through tailored exercise and movement programs.

Working collaboratively with physiotherapists, chiropractors, and other health professionals, the Kinesiologist will assess functional movement, design individualized exercise plans, and educate clients to promote lasting physical wellness.

Responsibilities:

Conduct functional movement and physical fitness assessments Develop personalized exercise and rehabilitation programs to improve strength, mobility, and endurance Support recovery from injuries, surgeries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions Educate clients on safe movement practices and injury prevention Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care Monitor and document client progress, adjusting programs as needed Provide guidance to enhance overall fitness, confidence, and daily functionality

Qualifications/Education:

Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics (required) Registered and in good standing with the appropriate provincial kinesiology association (e.g., AKA, BCAK, or equivalent) Strong background in exercise prescription, biomechanics, and rehabilitation principles Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Experience with military or veteran populations is an asset
