Job Description

Connect Physiotherapy & Exercise is a multi-disciplinary clinic in South Edmonton focused on providing comprehensive, science-backed treatment, training and nutrition support to clients. We are in search of a Kinesiologist to join our team. The position will be casual/part-time to start immediately, and will shift to full-time at the end of July.

This position offers a unique opportunity to step into a blended role that allows you to work as an independently functioning trainer while supplementing those hours with front desk and physiotherapy assistant responsibilities. Position Duties/Responsibilities

Provide a welcoming first point of contact to clients seeking physiotherapy, massage therapy, hand therapy, performance nutrition, exercise and performance training services. Deliver exercise therapy sessions in collaboration with physiotherapists. Coach proper exercise techniques and execution, safety measures and monitor/chart client progress. You'll have the opportunity to work independently with training clients, in addition to delivering our external, strength and conditioning programs. Answer phone calls and electronic enquiries, schedule appointments, take payments and maintain practitioners schedules. Client chart compiling and organization as well as sending and tracking third party report deadlines and processing payments. Understand and follow WCB, MVA and other third party policies and procedures. Application and removal of modalities Maintain high-level of cleanliness within the front desk area, clinic and exercise area and adhere to policies, plans and procedures for the safe and professional operation of the clinic. Work collaboratively as part of an integrated team with physiotherapists, exercise specialists, hand therapists, registered dietitian, support personnel, front end administrative staff and practicum students. Assist with the creation and delivery of seminars, events, new programs and services, professional development materials, media, and other duties as assigned. Actively contribute to marketing activities including social media initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology or Bachelor of Kinesiology Professional Kinesiologist (AKA) or NSCA-CSCS or CSEP-CEP/CPT Current standard first aid and CPR preferred
Physical Requirements

Ability to demonstrate the appropriate skills and techniques to be used by clients and visually monitor clients. Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, climbing, stairs, kneeling, and moving equipment/boxes up to 50 lbs.
