Sportball invites enthusiastic & playful people to join our coaching team! Must be available EVENINGS (4:30pm-8:00pm) & WEEKENDS.

Most of our coaching staff are students in Education & Kinesiology. They work with us to enrich their experience with sport and with children while making an additional income.

Positions are part-time & long-term.

We run classes throughout the Okanagan including: Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton, Summerland, Lake Country & Vernon and must be able to drive to each Sportball class. You do get paid compensation for mileage. Most classes will be scheduled nearest to where you live but we do require one class per week to be at one of the other locations.

Age range of children you will be working with is 16 months - 9 years old. Must be able to work with and adapt to a wide range of age groups.

Responsibilities :

Teach the basic skills of 10 different sports (Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Football, Baseball, Golf, Tennis, Lacrosse, Rugby & Hockey) Candidates should be comfortable working with younger children including toddlers and parents, as many of our programs focus on this age group. Guide and cheer on children as well as parents Lesson planning Keep the children safe
Salary and schedule :

$19 to $30 per class depending on experience (classes range from 30 minutes to 1 hour) 6 to 20 hours a week At least one weekend and 2 weekday shifts Summer Camps in July & August

Autonomous/Adapting skills Fun, outgoing, playful! Professional, reliable and punctual Comfortable in front of a group/public speaking Access to a vehicle
