The KAM is responsible for developing strategic sales plans within Ontario to achieve company objectives, including revenue growth, market share expansion and customer satisfaction. This role will be responsible for supporting our key retail accounts (Grocery & Convenience) as well as operational LCBO functions, to drive growth and sales.
As our KAM you are dynamic and forward-thinking capable ofleading and grow strategic customer relationships across Grocery, Convenience (CVS), and Wholesale channels in Ontario. This role is pivotal in driving value creation, revenue growth, and commercial transformation through a customer-centric and insight-led approach.
Responsibilities
P&L Ownership
Full accountability for the P&L of assigned channels.
Manage trade spend, pricing, and mix to ensure profitable growth.
Forecast and control budget allocations, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and margin improvement levers.
Sales Strategy Development
Create and implement Ontario sales strategies for Retail to achieve business objectives with input from Commercial Director
Set clear sales targets, KPI's and action plans for Ontario team within the identified retail channels
Analyze market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth
Own and develop long-term partnerships with key customers across Grocery, Convenience, and Wholesale.
Market and Channel Development Management
Lead, develop and execute channel strategies across Grocery, CVS, wholesale, and LCBO.
Manage key retail accounts (Costco, Loblaws, Metro, Sobeys, Circle K, 7-Eleven, Grace Kennedy), building strategic plans aligned with customer and company goals.
Lead pricing, promotional negotiations, and sales plans to meet volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
Expand product listings, optimize shelf presence, and deliver incremental sales.
Maintain strong customer relationships, resolve issues proactively, and ensure high satisfaction and loyalty.
Commercial Development & Revenue Growth
Identify and unlock new revenue streams through category expansion, promotional excellence, and portfolio optimization.
Drive pricing, trade terms, and promotional strategies to maximize profitability and ROI.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of success in strategic sales, business development, and customer relationship management, with proven revenue growth and P&L ownership.
Deep expertise in Ontario's Grocery, CVS, and wholesale channels, with strong knowledge of global market dynamics in the beverage/alcohol industry.
Skilled in channel strategy execution, sales planning, and leveraging data and CRM tools for insight-driven decisions.
Commercially sharp with financial acumen, marketing know-how, and digital proficiency.
Effective communicator and collaborator across functions and levels, driving alignment and results.
Proactive, solution-oriented, and results-driven--with integrity, accountability, and a strong will-to-win and can-do attitude.
