We are looking for a tech-savvy and innovative Junior Web Administrator to join our team in-person in Calgary. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute significantly to our organization's digital infrastructure while working in a dynamic environment that values technical expertise.
The ideal candidate is not just a maintainer, but a builder. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of our WordPress/WooCommerce website, ensuring our digital storefront is efficient, organized, and high-performing.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Product Management:
Create and manage complex product templates. This includes accurately setting up all variables, product variations (size, color, etc.), tax specifications, and shipping details to ensure a seamless checkout experience.
Web Development & Content Updates:
Create, develop, and update full pages, partial pages, sections, tabs, headers, and footers. You will be expected to build visually appealing and functional layouts using
Elementor, WordPress, and WooCommerce.
Comprehensive System Maintenance:
Perform routine plugin, theme, and core WordPress updates. Beyond just clicking "update," you will monitor for compatibility issues, perform backups before major changes, and ensure the site remains secure and stable.
Backend Optimization & Cleanup:
Proactively clean up the WordPress/WooCommerce backend. This includes removing unused plugins, organizing the media library, and eliminating database clutter to ensure the website functions as smoothly and quickly as possible.
Innovation & Process Improvement:
We want a teammate who brings ideas to the table. You will research and suggest ways to improve our internal processes, enhance the backend user experience, and optimize the website's overall performance and design.
Requirements
Problem Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or within a team environment.
Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrated experience with
Elementor
and
WooCommerce
is required. You should be comfortable working within the WordPress dashboard and have a solid grasp of basic HTML/CSS.
Education:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an IT, Computer Science, or Web Development program.
