About the Role:
Are you eager to develop specialized skills in chrome plating? As a
Junior Chrome Plater
, you'll learn the essential techniques of plating high-quality parts while working alongside experienced professionals. This role offers hands-on training, career development, and the opportunity to gain experience in our chrome plating department.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety First:
Follow all safety guidelines and environmental regulations while learning best practices from senior team members.
Solution Handling:
Assist with plating solution analysis, ensuring quality and compliance under supervision.
Organized Workspace:
Maintain cleanliness in the chrome department, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
Process Learning:
Observe and participate in plating processes, like masking and sandblasting parts, gradually building expertise in plating and quality assurance.
Team Collaboration:
Support senior platers in daily operations while receiving mentorship on advanced plating techniques.
Quality Checks:
Help inspect plated parts before and after processing, identifying defects with guidance.
Production Assistance:
Learn to schedule and organize plating tasks for efficiency under leadership guidance.
Equipment & Supplies:
Assist in maintaining plating supplies and ensuring equipment remains in top condition.
Incident Reporting:
Promptly report any safety concerns or accidents to the appropriate management team.
Technical Development:
Read blueprints, sample parts, and engineering specifications, gaining insight into plating methods.
What We're Looking For:
Enthusiasm to learn and develop skills in chrome plating
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Willingness to follow safety procedures and industry regulations
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Prior experience in manufacturing or metalwork is a plus, but not required
Bonus Points:
Post secondary degree or certificate in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
