Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Develop detailed design documents including technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and contract documents for multi-discipline projects with guidance from senior design team members.
  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for detailed design with guidance from senior design team members.
  • Prepare budgets, proposals, costs, and time estimates with guidance from senior design team members.
  • Technical report development including inspections and assessments, health and safety, and detailed design reports with guidance from senior design team members.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement field investigation programs performed by subcontractors or internal technicians and other field personnel.
  • Summarize and interpret data collected as part of the field investigations and monitoring studies with guidance from senior design team members.
  • On-site inspection and assessment activities of various client infrastructure
  • Potential for construction management activities including on-site inspections, construction oversight, and construction contract administration support.
What you will bring to the team:
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with the Microsoft suite, and familiarity with AutoCAD.
  • Experience using specialized numerical modelling software (e.g., SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM) would be considered an asset.
  • Experience or interest in water resources engineering including hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, water quality treatment, water balances, flood management, storm sewer design, erosion and sediment control, and drainage design.
  • An understanding of field work is desirable including the basics of surveying, water quality sampling, water level/flow monitoring, and construction inspection of stormwater management works.
  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering (Water Resources, Civil or Environmental)
  • 0-3 years of relatable experience, ideally on design or construction of stormwater management infrastructure or watercourse restoration. Any work experience in the field would be considered an asset.
  • Working towards a P.Eng. license
  • Must hold a valid driver\'s license (Class G) in Ontario and be willing to travel within Ontario and Canada as required.
