Job Description

The Jr. Solutions Developer is responsible for the development of custom, validated software systems. They are responsible for contributing to source code repositories, system builds and packaging for systems they are assigned. They share the responsibility with the other team members for the overall quality, training, operation of the systems they are assigned. They work under the Solutions Team and are required to follow and help improve related procedures and policies on a continuous basis. A significant level of mentoring can be expected for most of these tasks.Qualifications1. College Diploma or University degree in Computer Sciences
2. Experience in computer programming in a scientific/medical setting preferred
3. Demonstrated knowledge of Programming Languages including PLSql, Java (JSP and Servlets, JDBC, JSTL & Custom
Tags), Shell scripting and Perl
4. Demonstrated knowledge of Operating Systems including Unix/Solaris, SunOS, Linux, and Windows
5. Demonstrated skills in Reporting (Jasper), Oracle administration and Limux administration
6. Excellent oral and written communications skills
7. Basic TCP/IP networking, Oracle application server, UNIX Solaris, Oracle/Sun certification; Oracle mod_plsql and portal,
iReport, Jasper Reports, Java/DB IDEs (Jdeveloper, Oracle Designer) an asset
8. Certification in Oracle and Java an assetAs a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Employee Health Services.
