Position Overview



We are seeking a performance-driven

Junior Service Technician

for our store located in

Brossard

! In this role, you will be responsible for after-sales support, including handling returns and exchanges, assisting customers with computer service inquiries, completing service department administrative tasks, and driving sales of service packages. Your ability to identify customer needs and confidently recommend solutions will be key to your success.

As a Junior Service Technician, you will provide exceptional customer support, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and ensure a seamless service experience. You will work alongside experienced Service Technicians, gaining hands-on experience in computer hardware and software diagnostics, repairs, and assembly. This role offers the opportunity to expand your technical knowledge and develop your skills within the computer technician field, with potential for career progression as you gain experience.

Responsibilities:



Evaluate customer service needs and recommend appropriate solutions, including service packages. Complete administrative tasks within the service department to ensure efficient workflow. Handle after-sales support, including returns and exchanges. Conduct testing on various tech products as needed. Diagnose, repair, and assemble computer hardware when required. Install and configure software, hardware, drivers, and BIOS settings. Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on shifts. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the retail store management team.

Qualifications/ Key Competencies:



Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus). Strong customer service skills with a performance-driven approach. Commitment to continual improvement and personal growth. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. High attention to detail in all tasks and projects. Excellent problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset. Basic knowledge of computer hardware assembly and setup (including BIOS setup, Windows installation/automation, device interfaces). Basic understanding of laptop diagnostics and upgrade procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience and Education Requirements:



Eligibility to work in Canada without the need for job sponsorship 2-3 years of experience in the retail industry, with a preference for technology retail experience Experience in basic computer diagnostics, repair, and assembly (formal or self-taught) Minimum of High School diploma or GED required

Vous travaillerez aux cotes de techniciens de service experimentes, acquerant ainsi une experience pratique en diagnostic, reparation et assemblage de materiel et de logiciels informatiques. Responsabilites :



Evaluer les besoins des clients en matiere de service et recommander des solutions appropriees, y compris les forfaits de services. Effectuer des taches administratives au sein du departement de service afin d'assurer un flux de travail efficace. Gerer le soutien apres-vente, incluant les retours et les echanges. Effectuer des tests sur divers produits technologiques, au besoin. Diagnostiquer, reparer et assembler du materiel informatique selon les besoins. Installer et configurer les logiciels, le materiel, les pilotes et les parametres du BIOS. Travailler selon un horaire flexible, incluant les soirs et les fins de semaine selon les quarts. Accomplir d'autres taches assignees par l'equipe de gestion du magasin de detail.

Qualifications / Competences cles :



Maitrise de l'anglais (la connaissance d'autres langues constitue un atout). Solides competences en service a la clientele, avec une approche axee sur la performance. Engagement envers l'amelioration continue et le developpement personnel. Esprit d'equipe et capacite a collaborer efficacement. Capacite a travailler sous pression et a respecter les delais. Grand souci du detail dans toutes les taches et projets. Excellentes aptitudes en resolution de problemes avec une approche orientee vers les solutions. Connaissances de base en assemblage et configuration de materiel informatique (incluant la configuration du BIOS, l'installation/automatisation de Windows, les interfaces de peripheriques). Comprehension de base des diagnostics et procedures de mise a niveau de portables. Maitrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Capacite a travailler de maniere autonome et en equipe.

Experience et exigences en matiere de formation :



Etre legalement autorise a travailler au Canada sans parrainage d'emploi. Posseder de 2 a 3 ans d'experience dans le secteur de la vente au detail, idealement dans le domaine de la technologie. Experience en diagnostic, reparation et assemblage de base d'ordinateurs (formation formelle ou autodidacte). Diplome d'etudes secondaires ou equivalent (GED) requis.
