We are looking for an entry level mechatronics engineer to join our team. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include automation of production and manufacturing processes; maintenance and repair of our automated systems and machinery; Production modelling and shop liaison. This position suits a candidate who is comfortable working on engineering tasks in the office and directly on machinery in the manufacturing facility.
The candidate must be capable of completing time sensitive repair/programming of CNC style control systems of automated machinery. The candidate must also do trouble shooting and documentation of maintenance and repair projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Automation of production and manufacturing processes

CNC Punch
CNC Router
CNC Laser Cutter
Stretch Former
Research and development of new processes and products
Documentation of maintenance work.
Mechanical design/Modelling, product quality control checks.
Qualifications and skills:
Bachelors of Applied Science Mechatronics (Mechanical /Electrical Control)
Ability to work independently and in a team
Strong Documentation Skills
Self-Starter and detail oriented.
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Good time management skills and ability to prioritize jobs and workload
Knowledge of Cad Modelling with Autodesk Inventor
Experience with PLC's (Allen Bradley, Siemens etc.)
mechanical/electrical/controls aptitude to take apart machinery/ controls, repair as needed and reassemble/reprogram and return to service in working order
Experience working as a mechatronics engineer in a production environment with direct hands on electrical, electronics, mechanical experience with production machinery would be an asset, however aptitude is primary for this entry level position.
