We are seeking a Junior Product Design / Mechatronics Engineer to develop products and deliver on client engagements. You will work under the direction of the Engineering Manager and Senior Engineers on innovative self-service kiosks, bag drops and gates.

Key Responsibilities:



Creating and executing test plans for new devices and prototypes. Report outcomes and recommendations. Design, prototype, and integrate electro-mechanical systems for new products. Assisting with the integration and design of devices into products. Developing documentation such as kiosk technical specifications, user manuals, production checklists, and training guides for customer deliverables. Write test scripts and develop basic automation for system validation. Performing critical technical issue investigation and resolution activities. Includes level 3 hardware support. Participating in design reviews, recommending modifications to enhance functionality and address technical challenges. Planning and execution of regulatory testing and certification for safety and emissions compliance. Creating and managing product Bill of Material's (BoM's). Assisting with installation and deployment activities. Facilitating procurement, vendor research, quote requests, and redundant part options for components and manufacturing equipment. Providing knowledge transfer and supporting the Production team in the product building process, resolving issues before the production schedule starts.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:



Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering. 2+ years of Product Development or Hardware Engineering experience. Proficiency with breadboarding and circuit prototyping. Demonstrated professional experience (outside of a classroom setting) in sourcing and selecting engineering components, electrical and mechanical, with a focus on performance, compatibility, and reliability in system design. Experience writing scripts to control hardware or interact with sensors. Basic programming skills in Python, C/C++, or MicroPython. Understanding of hardware/software interface issues and understanding of hardware system designs. Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams, drawings, and schematics. Organized and efficient, self-motivated. Highly flexible and adaptable to fast-paced, hands-on environment. Detail-oriented. Enthusiastic and eager to meet challenges. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Working conditions:



Combination of Office and Manufacturing floor environments. Extended hours or weekends occasionally required for client activities and business functions. Work from the Office/In Person (all 5 days)

Travel Requirements:



Ability to travel internationally when necessary (10-20%)

Salary Range:



* $65K - $70K
