Glowinsky Law, based in North York, ON, is currently seeking a Legal Assistant/ Law Clerk with approximately 1-3 years of experience in Plaintiff personal injury law (tort claims, motor vehicle accidents, dog bites, accident benefits, falls, long-term disability benefits denials, etc.); the medical profession; or occupational therapy. This position requires a highly organized professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and an ability to multi-task.

Qualifications:
A medical background, a law clerk diploma from a recognized community college, and/or an Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Certificate is an asset
Fast and accurate typing speed
A minimum of three years of experience in civil litigation
In-depth understanding of personal injury and legal terminology
Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Knowledge of and familiarity with PCLaw, Primafact, ACL, Tracument, Filevine, etc. is an asset
Responsibilities:
Administration of accident benefits claims
Preparing and editing correspondence and legal documents
Preparation of LAT Applications
Communication with clients, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
Performing the daily tasks necessary to assist the lawyer with file management
Assisting in the management of the lawyer's practice, including calendar management, client meetings, hearings, and other various administrative tasks, as required
Delegating tasks to, and coordinating with, other administrative departments
Assessing client's injuries and managing their treatment
Other duties, as assigned

Pay: $40,316.77-$65,000.00 per year
