In this role, you will:
  • Undertake Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) on equipment and systems with a goal of understanding supportability drivers, through-life costs, and potential improvement actions;
  • Build tools and processes for analysis across all work packages, such as: Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs);
  • Assist working groups to develop innovative solutions to equipment challenges;
  • Follow obsolescence management processes to assist in determining alternatives for equipment no longer supported by industry;
  • Liaise with staff throughout Babcock Canada and its sub-contractors in order to progress assigned tasks;
  • Assist in the development of new tools and techniques for through-life cost, operational availability, and safety management that Babcock Canada can deploy in support of the business;
  • Take part in specific business improvement activities as assigned;
  • Liaise with the customer as necessary to ensure that the assigned tasks meet with their requirements;
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
The ideal candidate brings:
  • Engineering degree from a recognized institution
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC
  • 1-4 years' engineering experience
  • Previous experience in Asset Management, Maintenance/Reliability Engineering or similar ILS experience is considered a strong asset;
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly with a focus on integrated systems, are considered an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including data analytics in Microsoft Excel Power Query, PowerBI, and other Business Intelligence tools.
  • Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
