Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately assessing project costs and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and proficiency in construction estimating software. Must be a team player in a fast paced work environment.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead. Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and timelines. Utilize HeavyBid software for cost estimation and project management tasks. Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids. Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients.

Experience

MUST HAVE EXPERINCE in the PREFABRICATED STEEL BUILDING INDUSTRY
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE with Metal Buildings Software (MBS) & AutoCAD
Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly desirable. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and subcontractors. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Candidates who possess a combination of these skills will be well-suited for this role.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
