Purpose:





Supporting both Daytona Homes and City Homes Master Builder; the drafter acts as a liaison between Sales and Construction - responsible for coordinating and producing accurate construction and master drawings in a timely manner.


Key Objectives:




Produce accurate construction drawings in a timely fashion; ensure current building codes are being accurately applied to all files Participate in all required specification or design changes, therefore, revise all master models and elevations as needed Prioritizes assigned tasks in accordance with established project schedules by adhering to time frames and deadlines Coordinate and organization of electronic copy records of all design/drawing documents, permits and correspondence; print approved permit package Communicate directly with Architectural Controllers and planning and development departments of various municipalities Collaborate with the sales team to address any necessary corrections, additions, errors or omissions in signed plans Coordinate new service requests, inspection fee payment, and invoice processing Software (BuildPro) documentation management Assist with scheduling construction starts, uploading framing trade partner documentation, and maintain contact information Other duties and responsibilities assigned

Skill Requirements:




Architectural Technology Diploma (Recent grads opportunity) Proficient with use of AutoCAD (or related software) Experience using Newstar Sales and BuildPro is an asset Experience in residential housing design and drafting is an asset Strong time management, organization, and planning skills Ability to manage a heavy workload and operate efficiently Strong attention to detail Strong time management, organization and planning skills * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
