The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated
Junior Architectural Technologist
to join our team. This is an exciting entry-level position for someone eager to grow their career in residential design while contributing to both custom home projects and our collection of pre-designed house plans.
You will work in a
fast-paced, design-focused environment
where accuracy and attention to detail are key. In this role, you will prepare drawings, apply the BC Building Code to ensure compliance, and work directly with clients through meetings and the revision process.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare presentation drawings and construction documents for residential projects
Apply the BC Building Code to ensure all designs meet required standards
Collaborate with clients through meetings and ongoing communication to complete revisions
Assist senior team members with technical details, design development, and documentation
Maintain accuracy and consistency across all drawings and project files
Learn new tools, workflows, and industry practices to enhance your skills
What We're Looking For
Building Technology diploma (or equivalent) from a Canadian institution
0-2 years of experience in residential drafting or a related field
Proficiency or familiarity with BIM software (ArchiCAD preferred, Revit acceptable)
Strong understanding of the BC Building Code and ability to apply it independently
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication abilities, both with clients and team members
Enthusiasm to grow and succeed in a professional design company
