Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in CNC machining and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and a willingness to learn. Prior warehouse experience, familiarity with CAD or SolidWorks, and knowledge of blueprint reading are a plus. This role involves operating various CNC equipment, assisting in assembly, and supporting quality control efforts to ensure high standards of production. All positions are paid, including internships.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machines following detailed blueprints and specifications Assist with CNC programming and setup using Fanuc controls and other relevant software Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to produce precise components Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and quality Support welding, assembly, and packaging processes as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area in compliance with safety standards Conduct routine inspections for quality control throughout the machining process Support warehouse functions including forklift operation when certified or trained

Skills

Familiarity with CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC controls such as Fanuc Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks is preferred Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings Mechanical knowledge related to machining, welding, press brake operations, and assembly processes Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, and basic math for measurement and calculations Warehouse experience including forklift operation is a plus but not required Strong attention to detail for quality control purposes Ability to work effectively within a manufacturing environment requiring mechanical aptitude and teamwork skills

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
