What will you do as a Junior Building Operator Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role:

• Responsible for HVAC maintenance, building automation systems and Fire Alarm systems.
• Provide operations support in the portfolio.
• Maintain tracking record with repairs and preventative maintenance of all physical plant and building related mechanical/electrical systems.
• Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual testing, inspection, and documentation of building life safety systems.
• Ensure buildings are maintained in proper working order.
• Support Supervisor with operations duties and external service providers.
• Respond to and resolve tenant & customer-based work orders in a timely manner.
• Work with Angus operating systems.
• Responsible for general housekeeping services including washroom inspection, lighting replacement and grounds repair (snow removal).
• Be available for on-call duty for after-hours building emergencies.
• Work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures;

What type of experience is required? These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table:

• Fireman Boiler Operator or higher certification
• 
  Fast paced environment, repetitive tasks
• 
  Move and lift heavy equipment/supplies
• 
  Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs
• 
  Bending, twisting, crouching, climbing, and reaching are required
• 
  Combination of standing, walking and sitting (minimal)
• 
  Strong computer skills with good understanding of Building software including mechanical and electrical would be an asset.
• 1-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in commercial/office building maintenance
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing
• Knowledge of building and fire codes, safety act and WHMIS procedures.
