CRIMINAL LAW: -case law, legislation research; client intake; review and analyze disclosure; appear in Court for adjournments; undertake, prepare and support sr. counsel in sentencing and other submissions; attend and participate in Crown and Judicial pre-trials on your own after adequate training has been provided; research, synthesize produce pre-trial motions; prepare senior counsel for trial, related research; conduct simple trials after training. FAMILY LAW: -client intake and interviews; prepare / supervision of pleadings, conferences; motion materials; attend court; support sr. counsel for trial work; attend trials; conduct simple trials after training. ADMINISTRATIVE: -undertake regular docketing; write regular notes to files; respond to client / lawyer enquiries within 24 to 48 hours; contribute to a blog at least once a month; and such other administrative duties as may be requested.
