The Administrative Assistant - Junior will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Branch Administrator. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment. The successful candidate will support efficient branch operations and ensure smooth communication across teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Calendar Management
Assist in scheduling and maintaining the Executive Director's calendar.
Coordinate meetings, appointments, and availability as required.
2. Email Management
Support shared inbox organization, including tagging, categorizing, and prioritizing emails.
Ensure timely follow-up and maintain effective communication flow.
3. Document & Filing Management
Maintain structured electronic and physical filing systems.
Ensure accurate document storage, retrieval, and record maintenance.
4. Administrative Support
Draft and prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
Provide general administrative assistance to the Branch Administrator.
Support daily operations and perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
5. Collaboration
Coordinate with internal teams to support smooth workflows and communication.
Assist with operational tasks to enhance overall branch efficiency.
Additional InformationWork Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Alberta Time)
1-hour lunch break
Excluding provincial holidays
Incumbency
This is a net new role.
Background Check
A standard criminal record check is required before the start date.
Must be provided at no cost to the Province upon request.
