Job Description

Maxim is currently seeking a Junior Accountant for our Winnipeg Brookside location. The successful candidate will assist in providing accurate monthly financial reporting on a timely basis for Maxim Truck & Trailer branches.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Reconciles bank statements daily/monthly Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements Sets up, formulates, reconciles and disposes notes payable for all rentals and leases branches Applies financing contract payments Processes statutory GST, PST, EHC, tire tax remittances Assist in the preparation of the year-end Financial Statements Reconcile miscellaneous AR Other duties as required

Ideal Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Accounting or Business Administration related education

3+ years of related accounting experience

Experience with database management and running reports

Strong attention to detail Organized, sets priorities, meets deadlines Extensive knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel Ability to learn in-house business system Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders Ability to work independently with little supervision
