Junior or Intermediate Accountant

Niradia Enterprises is a diverse, growing company with a well-respected presence in Western Canada in the construction, real estate, hospitality and property management industries.

We are currently looking for a Junior Accountant. Reporting directly to our Controller, you will oversee full-cycle accounting for small subsidiary companies and/or development projects including billing, job costs, variance reporting, and monitoring project progress.

Responsibilities include:

Bank reconciliations Monthly/quarterly/annual working papers Financial statements preparation GST/HST/PST tax returns and supporting documentation Ensuring compliance with necessary governing bodies Preparing inter-company transactions Reconciling various reports, including accounts receivable, and accounts payable, to general ledger balances

Qualifications Include:

Recent University Graduates welcome!

full cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience considered an asset University degree/diploma in accounting required. Advanced computer skills including Excel and other Microsoft Office products Knowledge of computerized accounting software - Sage 300 is an asset Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to take initiative and work autonomously and work in a team environment Flexibility and adaptability are crucial; positive attitude and solid work ethic are a must-have Highly organized and detail oriented
