We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Junior Accountant
to support our Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
The day to day:
Apply clients payments accurately and perform regular account reconciliations
Manage billing activities, including preparing and issuing invoices
Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients while addressing billing or account-related inquiries
Oversee corporate credit card reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of staff expenses
Create work orders and jobs for costing purposes within our accounting or ERP system
Assist in gathering and organizing documentation required for the year-end audit
Support month-end close activities and collaborate with the Finance team on various accounting tasks as needed to ensure smooth departmental operations
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting-related administrative role
Experience with accounting or ERP software is an asset
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data manipulation)
Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong accuracy in data entry and financial review
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Clear and professional communication with the ability to maintain positive client relationships
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new systems and processes
EducationExperience
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration is an asset.
Working Conditions
Full-time position based in Vancouver with potential for hybrid work after probation
Occasional overtime during month-end, quarter-end, or year-end cycles
