Job Description

Rova Products Canada Inc. ("Rova") located in Brampton, Ontario is a custom cable operation and distributor with a wide variety of customers across the industry spectrum.

We are seeking a high energy team-oriented Junior Accountant. This candidate will have a proven track record at building excellent client relationships and resolving issues with solid problem-solving skills. In addition, they will be providing administrative support to the finance team, therefore an understanding in accounting and experience in a collaborative finance team are considered strong assets!

LOCATION: 30 Automatic Rd, Brampton, ON L6S 5N8

JOB SUMMARY:

Process and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Generate and send out invoices to customers, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments. Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities. Review accounts receivable aging to ensure compliance. Investigate and resolve customer queries. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist with the preparation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial analyses as required. Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes. Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Assist in variance analysis and provide explanations for significant differences between actual and budgeted figures. Investigate and resolve customer queries. Process adjustments and credits. Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

1 plus years of relevant experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Must be a go getter who is motivated to get the job done. Experience working in small finance group in a collaborative manner. Organized and high attention to detail

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT:

Familiar with large enterprise accounts Experience with accounts receivable management programs: Coupa and SAP Ariba Experience in other areas of finance would be considered an asset. Proficiency in speaking and writing in French a strong asset

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

A University or College Diploma in Accounting or Finance would be considered a strong asset.

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
