We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Jr Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Jr Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our standards of quality and presentation.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service during peak hours.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
Familiarity with food handling procedures and kitchen equipment is essential.
Strong understanding of food safety standards and practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members in a busy kitchen environment.
