Overview

We are seeking a young dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a JR sous chef, you will be responsible for making pizzas and other food dishes while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. helping the chef with prep, placing food orders, assigning cleaning duties, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices. Assist in meal preparation by prepping ingredients and assembling pizza toppings as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and cutting tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is a must! particularly in food preparation or cooking roles. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering high-quality meals to customers.
