We are seeking passionate and creative crew to join Amici's culinary team! Responsibilities to include:
Menu and Guest Experience
Assisting with menu development, testing recipes, and suggesting weekly features or special dishes.
Ensuring food quality and presentation meet guest expectations, and addressing guest feedback when necessary.
Communicate effectively with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Operations
Supporting the Sous Chef with inventory checks, stock rotation, and waste management.
Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, ensuring every plate meets our standards for taste and presentation.
Supporting Kitchen Leadership team in maintaining kitchen organization, systems and operations
Daily food preparation for service including bread, dessert, pastas, dough and sauces.
Cooking on the line, following recipes accurately, organizing and cleaning of kitchen stations and equipment.
Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of each role within the kitchen team and be able to guide and support the team, jumping in where needed.
Supervise the kitchen during shifts, delegate tasks, and help with scheduling and ensuring the team is set up for success
Assist in training and continued development of the kitchen crew.
Maintenance & Environment
Communicate any equipment needs to the Kitchen Leadership Team and support the team in ensuring the maintenance schedules are followed.
Support Kitchen Leadership team in ensuring Food Safe protocols are followed and recorded per Fraser Health guidelines and Food Safety & Sanitation Plans.
People & Culture
Train and mentor cooks, sharing your knowledge and helping everyone grow their skills
Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating work environment where everyone feels valued and inspired to do their best.
Supporting Kitchen Leadership Team in inspiring and motivating, training, mentoring and retaining the Amici Kitchen team. Maintaining a healthy workplace culture and inspiring growth within both the FOH and BOH.
Strong communication skills with team and owners - timely correspondence through Basecamp and Texts.

Amici (Italian for 'friends') Wine Bar is a new hospitality experience that opened last Spring in Downtown Abby. Inspired by Italy's connection to local agriculture, this modern Italian concept will connect to our unique food in the Fraser Valley, paired with a curated selection of Italian and BC wines, quality cocktails and fine selection of BC craft beers.
