Job Description

Our busy personal injury firm requires a jr. scheduling assistant to join our dedicated and friendly team to assist the managing lawyer and his clerks in a very busy, and growing personal injury practice. The main duties of this position include:

Maintaining the lawyer's calendar, including scheduling new client meetings, examinations for discovery, mediations, pre-trials and trials, preparation meetings, conference calls and assessments for clients All tasks associated with the various calendar entries including booking of services, arranging virtual set ups, confirming attendances, providing relevant materials Communication with clients and counsel with respect to scheduled matters Maintenance and organization of client files

Excellent multi-tasking, proof-reading and organizational abilities Excellent time management skills to coordinate tasks and deadlines Strong communication skills Excellent work ethics and a strong attention to detail is a must Good people skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and/or within a team environment Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities Experience in personal injury and/or insurance defence is a plus Experience managing an extremely busy calendar is a plus Familiarity with Primafact is advantageous, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel)
The person we are looking for will be highly motivated, efficient, reliable, show initiative, have excellent multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills, and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

The appropriate candidate must be able to work independently, have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Primafact, PC Law, Google, Secure Docs, One Drive (and other online document services).

Competitive Salary depending upon experience.
