Jr. Recruiter & Admin Assistant (mat Leave Contract)

Job Description

As a member of the HR Department this role will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Human Resources Department by providing administrative support.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining job board postings and screening applicants
  • Advertising external and internal vacancies
  • Scheduling and conducting telephone interviews
  • Participating in career fairs
  • Developing and strengthening relationships with local colleges and universities for recruitment of co-ops and new graduates
  • Updating applicant database
  • Assisting with full-cycle co-op recruitment - post positions, interview, schedule interviews for hiring managers and extend offer
  • Preparing training material and packages
  • Delivering New Hire Orientation
  • Assisting in company events
  • Provide administrative support to members of the HR department as needed
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • College Diploma in Human Resources or related
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience presenting in-front of a large audience
  • Time management and organizational skills are essential
  • Strong computer skills necessary
  • Experienced in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Positive attitude and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to travel locally
