Jr Bookkeeper & Ops Support

Job Description

This role provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations in a hospitality-focused environment. Acting as a key connector between the Leadership Team and frontline operations, this role ensures systems are organized, tasks are completed efficiently, and leadership is supported in strategic and operational priorities.

Key Areas of Accountability:



1. Finance Support



AR - Working with Customer Accounts to receive payment AP - Process invoices for payment in Quickbooks Petty Cash - enter petty cash reports + receipts into QB and reconcile the petty cash account Enter expense reports + mileage into QB Process weekly cash deposits and process and fund weekly tip distribution

2. HR/OPS Admin Support



Support with operational processes such as inventory tracking, supplier coordination, ordering and backend of Hospitality systems ( Toast/Wisk ). Help coordinate internal events and participate in training sessions and hospitality initiatives as required. HR support with onboarding and off-boarding new employee documents. HR Support with indeed, hiring and interviewing. Act as a communication bridge between office administration and operations teams to ensure alignment. Participate and support the Health + Safety initiatives at all locations including participating in Health + Safety Committee meetings. Support special projects and take on new tasks as the business evolves. Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant hospitality regulations (e.g., licensing, safety, HR documentation)

3. Sales & Order Entry Support



Supporting Order Desk with entry from our beer@ email and hotline, inputting info into Ekos Supporting pre-orders, automatic allocation orders and helping accounts reach minimum order quantities associated with their region Helping with communication when needed about stock outs or shortages on orders. Support with new account onboarding & setup in CRM, Ekos and credit applications. Supporting coordination with accounts and Sales Reps when needed; samplings, tap handle, marketing support Overall support in Ekos; ie- price changes, account updates

Education/Experience Requirements



Education & Experience:

Business Administration degree/diploma or equivalent experience in business administration. 2 + years of Admin Support required.

Attitude:

Proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to take on new tasks and adapt to evolving business needs.

Industry Knowledge:

Experience in the hospitality industry (brewery, restaurant, hotel, or related environment) is

recommended

.

Skills:

Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, proficiency with office software (Google Suite/Microsoft Office). Strong understanding of finance, HR or Order Entry Systems encouraged.
