Position Summary

This position is responsible for fabricating, modifying, and repairing mechanical components and equipment.



Schedule

This position currently follows a 28-day shift rotation working day shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The shift rotation is: 3 days, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off, 3 days, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off.



Location

This position is located at the Plant Operation, located approximately 30 km from the city of Estevan. The successful candidate will be responsible for his/her own accommodations and transportation.



Duties & Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, or diagrams. Identify worn and damaged parts, fabricating, repairing, adjusting, or replacing as needed. Operate machining tools such as lathes, drill press, milling machine, and boring equipment. Build or repair products with accuracy and in accordance with specifications. Maintain records of repairs and preventative maintenance activities. Assist industrial mechanics with maintenance work. Operate forklift, winch truck, and boom truck as required. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency certificate. Red Seal Journeyperson Machinist certification. Valid Class 5 driver's license. Previous experience in a mining environment is an asset. * Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
