Job Overview


As a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician, you'll provide a leading example of TCE's core values. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential and commercial electrical systems, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Your daily tasks may involve electrical installations, repairs and maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. As well, you must be comfortable working one-on-one with clients and apprentices on an everyday basis.

Duties



Performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs with strict adherence to safety standards. Proficiently reading and interpreting construction plans, ensuring precise execution of electrical layouts. Independently diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, employing a forward-thinking approach to deliver effective and efficient solutions. Fostering collaborative relationships with team members and effectively communicating with clients to ensure clarity and satisfaction throughout project lifecycles. Demonstrating exemplary organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in all tasks. Embracing a proactive and adaptive work approach, consistently seeking avenues for improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with the ability to engage personably with clients and team members alike. Self-motivation and independence, capable of making informed decisions and taking initiative to support the team as needed. The ability to swiftly learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. Maintain a positive demeanor, prioritizing teamwork, continuous learning, and the cultivation of a supportive work environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans. Ownership of personal hand tools for each job site. An active, valid BC Driver's License. Red Seal Certification.

Bonus points for:



Familiarity with municipal permit processes. Previous experience in leading and training apprentices. Field Safety Representative (FSR) Certification.
