Summary:

The Red Seal Industrial Electrician will be responsible for assisting in preventative maintenance and repairs of production equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, PLC Programs, robotics, production machines, material handling equipment, AC/DC drives, lighting systems, blending/mixing systems, etc. SCHUTZ CONTAINER SYSTEMS builds proprietary equipment which uses state of the art technology. This continual development and advancement allow our technicians to become leaders in the industry.

Essential Functions

The Red Seal Maintenance / Electrician removes and installs electric, hydraulic and pneumatic machine components to ensure the safe and efficient operation of production equipment*

The Red Seal Maintenance / Electrician troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to determine causes of machine failure and recommends solutions for repair*

The Red Seal Maintenance / Electrician performs new machine/equipment installations and setups*

The Red Seal Maintenance / Electrician maintains the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of maintenance equipment, tools, and work areas*

The Red Seal Maintenance / Electrician uses work orders and maintenance plans to document repairs*

The Red Seal Maintenance / Electrician*Conduct scheduled maintenance on equipment to minimize unplanned downtime

The Red Seal Maintenance / Electrician i*nspect electrical systems regularly for safety, compliance, and performance

The Red Seal Maintenance / Electrician*Test emergency systems (e.g., backup power, fire suppression electrical links)

Requirements-

Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification (309A) as an Industrial Electrician and Red Seal Endorsement*
Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (IBC or plastics experience a plus) Strong knowledge of electrical systems controls, and motor circuitry Experience with PLC controls and troubleshooting Ability to work independently or as part of a dynamic maintenance team Safety-first mindset with a strong attention to detail Availability for shift work or overtime when need All electrical work must comply with the

Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC)

and be performed in accordance with the

Electricity Act, 1998.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a strong commitment to electrical safety and regulatory standards.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.09-$40.00 per hour
