Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on various projects. This role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both residential and industrial settings. The Journeyperson Electrician will ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Work on low voltage systems as required for various projects. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation projects to ensure proper electrical installations. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites.

Skills

Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics related to electrical systems. Experience as an industrial electrician is highly desirable. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the electrical trade. Strong background in construction practices related to electrical installations. Knowledge of low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Previous maintenance person experience is a plus, showcasing versatility in repairs and maintenance tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
