Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. This role involves working on various electrical projects, ensuring that installations and repairs are completed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, including experience with construction and maintenance as well as industrial systems, and will be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.

Duties

Leading a small team including an apprentice. You will be the go-to person in the field while we focus on growing our company. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with local codes and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and problem-solving skills. Work on low voltage systems as well as high voltage installations. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites during renovation projects. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on construction and maintenance preferred with comfortability in industrial and residential Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics related to electrical systems. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment specific to electrical work. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus, but not required Knowledge of low voltage systems is desirable but not required. Previous maintenance person experience is beneficial for diverse project needs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong sense of urgency and critical thinking is a must. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
