Inferno Solar Ltd. is an Alberta-based, family-owned solar company. We install solar systems that make a difference - hundreds and thousands of panels at a time. Our goal is to Decarbonize Businesses in Western Canada, and we feel the commercial sector is key to doing this as it has the highest impact for the lowest cost.

Our projects are on commercial buildings - flat roofs and sheet metal roofs, in Calgary, Edmonton, and smaller cities and towns across Alberta and into BC and Saskatchewan. We are also expanding our capabilities to include expertise in EV charging, battery storage, and lighting upgrades.

We use heavy machinery, run lots of pipe, and pull big wire. We get it done, do it right, make it look the best it possibly can, and have fun doing it.

We need a motivated person that wants to learn and grow in the clean energy industry. The position will be located at our office in Edmonton.

Responsibilities



Installation & commissioning of solar systems on flat roofs, pitched roofs, and ground mount systems Installation & commissioning of EV chargers, underground conduit, etc Installation of associated electrical equipment including cable tray, conduit, wiring, inverters, battery banks, breakers, panelboards, splitters, disconnects, etc. Commission solar monitoring systems and inverters Troubleshoot inverter error codes and warnings Electrical construction work between solar projects such as lighting retrofits Supervise and mentor apprentices Be a friendly, knowledgeable representative of the company to clients on site Interpret single line diagrams and electrical layout drawings Work at heights & in inclement weather (wind, rain, sun, cold, heat) Perform job site safety assessments Adhere to safety policies

2. Cheerful attitude & excellent work ethic (No task too small)

3. Journeyman Electrician certificate or Red Seal Electrician

4. Commercial electrical experience OR commercial solar experience

5. Class 5 drivers license with clean driving record

Assets:



Solar training (SAIT, NAIT, Solar Alberta, CanSIA, NABCEP, SEI, etc) Troubleshooting / maintenance experience Current valid safety tickets: CSTS, First Aid, AWP, Fall Arrest Forklift, skid steer, or telehandler operator training & experience is an asset Willing to travel for work, as needed Proficient with technology & Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc

Pay: $37.00-$45.00 per hour
