Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a thorough understanding of electrical codes, ability to work independently on tasks. As a key member of our workforce, you will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and project specifications, contributing to the successful completion of construction, and maintenance projects.

Duties

Read and interpret schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, lighting, and control systems.

Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work efficiently and safely.

Work on renovation projects by upgrading or replacing existing electrical infrastructure in commercial or industrial facilities.

Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes.

Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance.

Collaborate with other trade and maintenance workers to ensure electrical components are integrated seamlessly into project plans.

Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes to maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Assist with maintenance person tasks as needed to support broader project requirements.

Qualifications

Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or certification recognized by relevant authorities.

Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a solid understanding of construction environments.

Proficiency in reading schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.

Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment.

Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Familiarity with renovation projects involving existing electrical infrastructure.

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.

Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Maintenance Person experience is considered a plus for supporting diverse project needs. This position offers an opportunity for qualified electricians to apply their skills in dynamic environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$44.00 per hour
