The Role:

We are looking for the Electrician to join as part of our Maintenance team to install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in a manufacturing environment. This individual will have the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications in order to provide troubleshooting and repair services. The Electrician will also routinely perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and components in order to ensure the continued safe, efficient and effective operations of all equipment and fixtures utilized by the organization.

Job Duties:

Diagnose, repair, or replace faulty packaging and meat processing equipment including motors and drives Provide electrical services for machinery in accordance to the local codes and standards Collaborate and cooperate with millwrights to speed up repair and maintenance Troubleshoot processing equipment and machinery Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facility Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties Follow all current GMP's and quality specifications of manufacturing in a food facility Communicate effectively with Maintenance Manager, suppliers, and contractors to determine effective electrical maintenance practices

Requirements:

Must be a certified Red Seal Electrician Industrial electrical experience is required Power Engineer experience an asset Confident knowledge of regulations and codes in industrial settings Understands Controls / VFD's / Data Strong awareness of health and safety issues; showing responsibility for oneself and others Must have a flexible work Schedule - shift work, overtime, weekends

Pay: $43.00-$45.00 per hour
