As a

Journey Automotive Body Technician

, you will perform skilled work in repairing, aligning, and refinishing vehicle bodies after collisions or damage. Using advanced tools and techniques to restore vehicles to manufacturer specifications and maintain high-quality workmanship. We are looking for someone with a passion for vehicle repair, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Performing all aspects of

structural and body repairs

including: panel replacement, structural sectioning, welded and bonded repairs, aluminum and high-strength steel repairs, and frame and unibody straightening using computerized measuring systems. Conducting accurate damage assessments in collaboration with estimators. Following OEM repair procedures and meet requirements for certified repairs. Working safely and efficiently in a production facility. Maintaining shop equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the facility. Following safety policies, standards, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for staff, customers, and vendors.

Required Skills & Competencies

Assist in identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner. Read and follow estimates and instructions provided for repair procedures. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Ensure proper use of tools and equipment for all assigned tasks and operate lifting devices as required. Deliver creative solutions with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship. Report potentially unsafe conditions and adhere to safety and security procedures. Provide consistent attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements:

Full body mobility with the ability to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat, and lift to 50lbs regularly. Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time, including working with hands above the head.

Qualifications & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Red Seal Journey Autobody Technician

certification. 5+ years of body/structural repair experience in a production collision repair environment (Preferred). Strong working knowledge of vehicle structure, modern repair techniques, and OEM requirements. Proficiency in MIG, and resistance spot welding; aluminum repair experience is a plus. Experience using frame measuring systems (e.g., Car-O-Liner, Chief, Spanesi). Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a Driver's Abstract required. Certificate of Conduct required. Strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and maintain focus in a fast-paced work environment. Excellent attention to detail with a passion for delivering high-quality craftsmanship. Strong commitment to safety and security practices. Excellent attendance and punctuality.
