As an Apparel Store Sales Associate, you'll ensure a smooth shopping experience by assisting customers, managing daily store operations, handling cashier duties, maintaining inventory, and keeping the store visually appealing. In the absence of the manager, you'll also take charge of the store. We are hiring for multiple positions, both full- and part-time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
Greeting and assisting customers in finding products.
Provide product information and styling advice.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
2. Store Operations:
Open and close the store as needed, following procedures.
Oversee daily activities, manage operations, and delegate tasks.
Keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Ensure store security and follow safety protocols.
3. Cashier Duties:
Operate the cash register, process payments, and handle transactions.
Reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
Assist with daily financial reporting and deposits.
4. Inventory Management:
Receive, unpack, and organize merchandise.
Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
Assist with stock replenishment and ensure accurate pricing.
Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in stock takes.
5. Visual Merchandising:
Arrange and display merchandise to maximize sales.
Update displays and signage to reflect promotions and trends.
Ensure an attractive store layout with easy-to-find products.
6. Sales Support:
Meet or exceed sales targets by actively promoting products.
Assist with in-store promotions and special events.
Stay updated on product knowledge and market trends.
7. Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with team members for efficient store operations.
Provide training and support to new staff as needed.
Communicate effectively with management and colleagues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous retail experience (1 - 2 years), especially in apparel, is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
Proficiency with cash registers and basic computer skills.
Attention to detail and a good eye for visual merchandising.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preference will be given to candidates fluent in English and Cantonese / Mandarin.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 25 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, and manage inventory.
