THE OPPORTUNITY - Job Coach (PDD Program)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Assists persons with disabilities to obtain and maintain employment consistent with Vecova's Mission, Vision, Values, and Guiding Principles. Working with individual to prepare for employment, explore career options and become as independent as possible at work. Provide advice and support regarding hiring, orientation and training for people with disabilities while maintaining confidentiality for the individual. Perform other job coaching duties and responsibilities as required

WHAT YOU BRING

We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

Diploma / Degree in Disability Studies, a related social science or Business. Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities,
(Or) has an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.

Must have a Class 5 Alberta Drivers License and a vehicle to use for work purposes Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members Represent Vecova in a professional manner Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm Maintain confidentiality at all times Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
