Position Details:
Job Coach: The role of the Job Coach is to help clients develop their knowledge and skills in job search and, as a result, improve their chances of finding and keeping paid employment as well as help them become independent in achieving their career goals. The goal is to provide job search services to clients referred by the Department of Social Development or Working NB. The Job Coach will guide and assist clients with their job search goals: interviewing clients to obtain their employment history, education and career goal; Helping clients develop job readiness skills and job search strategies; Collect information for clients regarding job postings and requirements and skills; Teach clients how to write an abstract and cover letter as well as how to prepare for an interview.
Education required:
Bachelor's degree in Arts, Social Sciences, Education, or Counselling and one year of counselling-related work experience for a total combination of 5 years OR
Post-secondary diploma/certificate in related disciplines of social sciences, education or counselling and three years of counselling-related work experience for a total of 5 years
