Lucent Technology Inc. is seeking a highly skilled
JD Edwards CNC/Technical Consultant
to lead the technical execution of an enterprise ERP upgrade project for a public sector client.
This role involves upgrading JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools release (9.2.2.5 to latest stable version), server and database migration, security enhancements, and technical documentation. The project will run over approximately three months with part-time involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the upgrade of JDE Tools from 9.2.2.5 to the latest stable release
Migrate applications to new virtualized infrastructure (Windows Server, SQL Server)
Configure Oracle WebLogic, ESUs, and support 64-bit processing enablement
Secure and optimize system environments (Development, CRP, Production)
Perform database upgrade, performance tuning, and load balancing
Troubleshoot third-party system interfaces (e.g., UKG, Tempest, Vertex, DAS)
Provide technical documentation, CNC administration, and post-go-live support
Train internal technical team ("train-the-trainer" approach)
Required Skills & Experience:
7+ years of experience in
JD Edwards CNC, Tools upgrades, and technical administration
Hands-on experience with
JD Edwards 9.2
and
SQL Server environments
Strong knowledge of
Oracle WebLogic, JAS servers, ESUs, and Deployment Server configuration
Familiarity with third-party interface troubleshooting and JDE architecture
Experience working on
JDE upgrades for public sector or municipalities
is an asset
Ability to document environments and conduct knowledge transfer sessions

Rate:
$125-$135/hour
depending on experience

Must be eligible to work in Canada
