Position Overview

Cambridge Treats is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaner to join our growing pet treats manufacturing team. This role is critical to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping production areas spotless and supports the team in delivering high-quality products for pets.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of production areas, offices, lunchrooms, and restrooms. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash floors to maintain hygiene standards. Empty garbage bins and recycling containers throughout the facility. Clean and sanitize high-touch areas (e.g., door handles, handrails, time clocks). Assist with equipment sanitation and deep-cleaning tasks during production shutdowns. Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report needs to supervisor. Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE. Immediately report maintenance or safety concerns, such as spills or hazards. Perform minor building maintenance tasks if required, such as changing lightbulbs, etc. Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.

Qualifications

Janitorial or industrial cleaning experience, preferably in food manufacturing. Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe handling of chemicals. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols consistently. Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physically able to lift to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks. The shift is primarily days; however, candidates must be willing to adjust their hours occasionally as needed.

Work Environment

Fast-paced food production setting. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, wet floors, and varying temperatures. PPE provided and required.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
