Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Houseperson is responsible for assuring cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas, and assist maintenance employees to maintain the hotel's high standards of quality.at our

BASIC REPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct cleaning of public areas within the property as laid down in the daily/weekly cleaning schedule Conduct repeat cleaning as required due to weather conditions/traffic flow/human action to maintain standards of cleanliness and presentation in public areas as required by company policy. Perform deep cleaning duties as directed by the Supervisor on duty achieving standards required by company policy. Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturer's instructions. Ensure full use of hazard awareness signs to alert guests/team members to potential hazards such as wet floors resulting from the cleaning process. Report all maintenance faults as per the hotel procedures. Report any lost and found following procedures Assist in the setup, cleaning and break down of meeting rooms as per company standard Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completing maintenance request forms and record logs. Maintain the building exterior and "curb appeal" (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening). Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction. Consult closely with the direct supervisor regarding completion of work to minimize on "down" rooms and contribute to the overall profitability of the property. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

2 years of commercial janitorial / houseperson experience an asset Being able to legally work in Canada (no LMIA available) Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
