How will you contribute?

The Tenant Services Coordinator\'s responsibilities include:

-Planning, organizing, developing and managing the implementation of accommodation projects (including renovations, refreshes and repairs) for a portfolio of customers throughout the project cycle.
-Ensuring the quality and speed of project execution.
-Palliate and coordinate projects awarded in connection with building maintenance.
-Ensuring an integrated approach to project implementation with all internal and external service providers and contractors.
-Coordinating all building access requests to carry out work in Senate-occupied buildings. Coordinating requests for existing internal contracts (e.g., internal signage, gym equipment maintenance, etc.).
-Planning and coordination of office moves, rearranges, ergonomic requests and standardizing vacant offices (senators).
The Tenant Services Coordinator is expected to be on site on a rotating basis, and will remain available to respond to building emergencies during normal working hours, as required (e.g., flooding, etc.).

Open to

The general public to staff one (1) determinate (full-time) position of one (1) year, in the Property and Services Directorate.

In addition to their resume, applicants are required to send a cover letter (maximum one page).

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

Prerequisites

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field OR a combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of five (5) years\' experience offering tenant services or facilities management services to corporate clients;
  • Must have two (2) years experience applying principles, methods and industry best practices associated with Project Management;
  • Must have demonstrated experience working in collaboration with external stakeholders on corporate construction projects including maintenance, renovations or repairs;
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee resources on project deliverables across multidisciplinary teams including but not limited to designers, architectural technologist and external partners (e.g., Public Services and Procurement Canada);
  • Superior customer service and communication skills are required to build relationship with internal/external parties while setting appropriate expectations;
  • Knowledge of Parliament and the Canadian political landscape would be considered an asset.
