Reporting directly to the Vice President for New Brunswick, the Director Consulting Services will be responsible for growth and delivery of consulting services to companies in the New Brunswick Metro Market. A key focus for the leader will be to increase sales and revenue by building key business and IT relationships with target customers. A successful candidate will need to be able to identify opportunities, identify the best solution, capture the sale, and manage delivery of the engagements. This Leader will also contribute to the building of a common vision and purpose, delivering on CGI's objectives and priorities. The DCS has business evolution responsibility, while managing a team of members, and is responsible and accountable for the following: client relationship & business development, service delivery, team and member management and operations management.
As a Director, Consulting Services role, you will be based in Moncton, New Brunswick and will be a catalyst for innovation and growth within the Metro New Brunswick market. This role will also participate in the NB Management Team. This is a position for a proven leader in the consulting and advisory industry. The Candidate will have experience in growing the service line by developing new business within CGI's client base and from new opportunities. There will also be time required to lead in the preparation of compelling offers and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The Candidate should also have experience in coaching and development and leading a team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude and ability for business development with a proven track record of securing engagements for themselves and growing the business by finding roles for other team members within an account or group of accounts. In addition, the candidate having strong IT services delivery experience is required, including having delivered services themselves and/or having played leadership roles on delivery teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Manage, motivate, and lead a multi-disciplined team of staff members
  • Lead business development activities and participate, where needed, in proposal writing, project scoping, and presentation of consulting solutions to clients.
  • Act as client account executive for multiple clients with overall responsibility for client
relationship management
  • Manage selected consulting projects and maintain project tracking and resourcing against schedule and budget
  • Perform financial management of existing client engagements to oversee monthly FTE
allocations, approve invoices, etc.
  • Engage clients to understand their needs so we can offer additional solutions and services to expand our relationships and generate additional revenue
  • Search and identify new business development opportunities outside of existing client base
  • Oversee product development of CGI and/or client IP
  • Manage service delivery outcomes across multiple client contracts
  • Develop RFI/RFP responses and create proposals including pricing/margin analysis
  • Provide general office management and overall leadership for the Moncton office
  • Develop consulting team members by transferring skills and knowledge, performance and talent management and supporting their learning and development activities
  • Work closely with the Sector Vice-President on strategic planning and go-to-market activities
  • Participate, partner and work collaboratively with the ABU Senior Management Team
  • Involved in the hiring and review process for Team members
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of diploma, certifications, and work experience
  • 10+ years' experience working in the IT industry with 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience delivering development and/or consulting services to a large client base
  • Must be an exceptional communicator, both written and oral, who is able to convey complex and abstract concepts to a broad audience including CxO level
  • Must be a self-starter who is action-oriented and detail-focused
